During the same period as the Allt ljus på Uppsala light festival, discover Cycle of Life, an outdoor installation by Finnish artist Kaarina Kaikkonen at Cykelfabriken in central Uppsala.

Made from colourful shirts, the large-scale artwork stretches through the air, interacting with the architecture of a former industrial building. Visible from several directions, the installation transforms an everyday urban space into a place for reflection.

Kaikkonen’s work explores memory, human connections and the stories carried by familiar objects. Through reused clothing, she creates a striking expression of both fragility and strength, inviting visitors to reflect on life’s changing nature.
