Uppsala Light Festival is an event defined by creativity. It’s only natural that our partners share this passion with us. This year, we’re collaborating with Villa Anna, a unique hotel in the heart of Uppsala’s historic district, where many of our light installations are located. For three nights, the light festival will be accompanied by a gastronomic journey, as Villa Anna’s award-winning restaurant offers our visitors an exclusive dining experience.
“We remember when passion took root at Villa Anna. It was 15 years ago, and everything revolved around the love for food, the kitchen, and the creative gastronomic craft. After 15 fulfilling years, it’s a great honor for Villa Anna to create a tasting menu that reflects Uppsala Light Festival,” say Markus Arkevid and Josefine Milton from Villa Anna.
For three nights, Villa Anna will present a unique event, where each light installation in this year’s festival will be represented through a composition of food and drink.
“We trust ourselves and our creativity. We want our visitors to experience something special. Gathering around a table to enjoy food and drink can truly be magical. Our creations are, of course, based on sustainability, which is also a shared theme with the festival. We aim for creativity in everything we can make use of, and we also work with the local pantry. The dinner will be a work of art in itself.”
The event will take place exclusively at Villa Anna on November 12, 13, and 14. You can book a table from 5:00 PM. A tasting menu of 5-6 courses will be served.

During Uppsala Light Festival, Villa Anna will also offer a chocolate stop, welcoming both guided tours and spontaneous visitors. Villa Anna’s hot chocolate is made from 70% Valrhona chocolate.
For large groups of 15 or more, the hot chocolate will be served outdoors. For smaller groups, it will be served in Villa Anna’s lounge.
