Loneliness can be experienced differently. It is not always about being lonely, but missing the kind of connection you need. Some people experience loneliness in the quiet of home, some by being amongst other people. Humans need each other – but sometimes the step towards connection can be difficult to take. May it be because of moving cities, loss, sickness, stress or just life.
Forumtorget has interviewed seven people who tell their story about when they are feeling lonely and what they do when that feeling takes over.
Their stories show that loneliness is not static – it can be changed. Sometimes, all it takes is a meeting, a conversation or a shared moment for the feeling to change.
The exhibition is a part of Duo-dagarna, a project arranged by Forumtorget to prevent involontary loneliness.
Every Tuesday and Thusday they host meetings where people can have fika togehter, play games, knit and talk.
It’s completely free and everyone is welcome.
Welcome to Forumtorget.
The event is arranged by Forumtorget and Folkhälsomyndigheten.
