16 November 16:00 - 17:00
Where: Stora torget, Uppsala
During Allt ljus på Uppsala, local students who have been a part of the non-profit organization Poesi utan gränser (Poetry without limits) will take you on a guided poetry walk. We will take a stroll around the city and stop at some of the light installations where the students will read their poems to the audience. The poems will be read in the language they were originally written in as well as a swedish translation.
The organization Poesi utan gränser was founded in 2009 by linguistic teachers in Uppsala. The aim is, amongst other things, to show the value of language and exhibit the diversity of languages in Uppsala. In 2025, the organization was awarded the swedish Unesco prize for their work.
This tour will not include guiding of the light works. Astrid Rimm, Uppsala-champion of Poetry Slam, will be guiding the tour.
The walk is arranged in collaboration with Svenska Unescorådet (the swedish Unesco counsel).
