Open Call

The Open Call for 2026 is now closed. The next Open Call, for Allt ljus på Uppsala 2027, will open at the end of November 2026.

Every year, Allt ljus på Uppsala invites artists and creatives to submit proposals for light artworks to be featured in the festival. Each edition explores a new theme connected to sustainability and the UN 2030 Agenda. The theme serves as a starting point for the artistic process and for the ideas and perspectives the festival seeks to explore.

When the Open Call is open, you can submit your proposal together with information about the artwork and its technical requirements. Once the application period has closed, the project team reviews the submissions and selects artworks based on the festival’s theme, locations and practical conditions.

The selected artworks become part of Allt ljus på Uppsala and are presented to the public at various locations across Uppsala’s public spaces.
