During Uppsala Light Festival, the city center streets come alive with the sounds of live music. In collaboration with Uppsala Municipality, Phosworks aims to highlight the challenges the shops in the city’s center is facing while also giving local musicians a chance to shine.
Together with three independent store owners, three vibrant pop-up concerts will be held in shop windows, offering you a unique opportunity to experience powerful performances from Scarlet, Borgerlig Begravning, and Big Fish.
Throughout the entire light festival, you can also sample the artists’ repertoires via the Uppsala Art and Cultural Heritage app at each shop window, enhancing the experience virtually.

Skotjänst Uppsala
Skotjänst is a centrally located shoe repair shop at Stora Torget. They offer a variety of services, including heel and sole repairs, shoe stretching, zipper replacements, and repairs of bags and ski boots, among others. The shop also provides lock and key services and sells shoe care products.
Fantastikbokhandeln
In Uppsala’s coziest alley, you’ll find Fantastikbokhandeln. The store offers a wide selection of books within science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres—both used and new.
Stil Uppsala
Stil Uppsala sells carefully selected second-hand items, with a focus on newer second-hand clothing and accessories for both women and men, following the current season. Stil Uppsala’s goal is to create a second-hand store that feels luxurious and fresh, just like a regular fashion boutique.
