In connection with Allt ljus på Uppsala, Uppsala Municipality and LIFE IP Rich Waters invite you to an open lecture featuring award-winning nature photographer Johan Hammar. He will share insights about his work to improve the quality of watercourses as part of the LIFE IP Rich Waters project.

Johan Hammar has extensive experience in photographing water and has documented Swedish freshwater from north to south, both from the air and underwater. He has published the book “Sötvatten – en värld av liv” (Freshwater – a World of Life) and was named Nature Photographer of the Year by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency in 2019. His driving force is storytelling and creating impactful images. Additionally, he has worked for many years as a biologist focusing on freshwater and water conservation measures.
